Raffle prizes are gift cards to local restaurants. Anyone who comments on a Facebook post will automatically be entered into a biweekly raffle. Themes will change each week and videos will be posted on the Facebook page which is accessible from the library website, /departments/eastpointe_memorial_library.php. Those and book talks for different age groups are set. The library is offering virtual storytimes.Materials returned to the library must be placed in the drop box. Patrons will have access to library materials, computers, and copiers. Masks must be worn and social distancing practiced. CMPL is again offering the 1-2-3 program combining one topic, two communities and three age appropriate books that discuss a particular topic.Join the challenge and start logging at. Readers can take the challenge to read six books from eight predetermined categories. Crocheters should know how to chain and make double crochet stitches. Knitters should know how to cast on and do the knit stitch. Those who know basic crochet or knit stitches but are unsure how to craft a hat can attend a program at the Main Library at 2 p.m. Donations must be dropped off at the Main Library by Nov. Hats specifically sized for children in K-12 are appreciated. The Main Library is collecting handmade knit and crochet hats for donation to local community organizations. Listen to ghost stories and see evidence collected over years of investigations. The Main Library will host Brad Mikulak, Director of Southeast Michigan Ghost Hunters Society and the author of ‘I Am Ghost Hunter’ at 6:30 p.m.Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to make leaf and pumpkin shaped chocolates to share with friends and family at 6 p.m.
